Make sure that you choose the right type of memory for your motherboard.

There are three different factors which you need to take into account:-

• The physical format of the memory module e.g. SO-DIMM, DIMM.
• The interface type e.g. DDR2, DDR3.
• The speed of the memory e.g. 800Mhz, 1333Mhz.
