Delivery Timescale

Delivery timescales for our products vary and are clearly indicated on the product pages.

For our custom built SmaQ range of products, our target is to have your system built, software installed, tested and with our carrier within five working days from receipt of your order. Your order will normally be delivered within two days after this (usually next day).
Where we are sending a ready built system or component we will normally despatch either the same day (orders before 12pm) or the following working day (orders before 5pm). Please see the individual product page for specifics.

We will send you an email to confirm acceptance of your order soon after we receive your request. This will give an estimate of the delivery timescale. We will notify you if this changes and again send you an email to confirm dispatch when we pass your goods to our carrier.

Where available, order tracking information will be sent to you so that you can see the progress of your order through the delivery network.

Delivery outside of UK mainland

If you require delivery to an address to outside of the UK mainland then please use the "Copy the contents of your Shopping Basket" facility on the Contact Us page to send us your requirements. We will then email you a quote containing the appropriate delivery charges and send you an on-line invoice excluding VAT if required. Payment must be in UK pounds.

Making the best use of our site

We hope that you find the information on our website useful and that it helps you identify the products you require.

The "Your PC Builder" is the main tool for customising the SmaQ range and helps you choose additional software and hardware. The top of the page provides a summary of your system. Hold your mouse pointer over the details under "Your configuration" to remind yourselves which options you have selected.

If you require us to install additional software suh as printer drivers, don't forget to add the details in the "Extras" tab.

Once you have built your system you can click "Add to Basket".

Components and other none custom hardware are available on the products menu. Clicking "More" against individual product lines will dispay more details. Click "Add to Basket" to continue with your purchase.

Order Process

Once you have selected the items which you require and added them to your "Shopping Basket" you will need to accept our terms and conditions of contract and if you are purchasing a SmaQ system, acceptance of any third party conditions.

You can pay by credit/debit card or by using a PayPal account by clicking on the PayPal button. For your security, all account and delivery information is collected by PayPal. If you want to pay by cheque then please read this.

Once we receive your requirements then we will send you an email confirming acceptance of your order. This will also indicate our expected dispatch date. The despatch date will normally be five working days for Custom SmaQ systems and between one and two days for other items (see individual products for specifics).

If we encounter any issues which could result in a delay, we will let you know. Once your goods are ready for despatch we will email you again with specific details of the expected delivery date.

Payment by cheque

We accept payment by cheque. We will not despatch any goods until the payment has cleared (normally 3-5 working days), but in the case of SmaQ systems we will start to build your system once we receive your instructions.

To use this facility, add your purchase to the shopping basket in the normal way.

Once you are happy that the "Shopping Basket" shows your requirements, confirm acceptance of the contract terms. Click "Pay by cheque" and print the form. Complete the details and post it to us together with your cheque made payable to "Arnold5 Ltd".

Once we have received your order we will contact you by email to confirm acceptance and advise on delivery.

Products not listed

If you wish to purchase an item not listed on our site then please let us know via the contacts page.

Returns policy

We hope that you will be completely satisfied with your purchase from Small and Quiet Computers. If you aren't then please contact us so that we can try to resolve your problem. If you still want to return your system then the following applies.

If the goods have not yet been dispatched then we will cancel your order and refund all your money
If the goods have already been dispatched then you can return them WITHIN SEVEN DAYS at your expense and we will refund your money in full. The goods must be in perfect condition, unused, and in original packaging.
If the goods are faulty and you have had them for LESS THAN THIRTY DAYS, then please contact us so that we can attempt to fix the problem and if unsuccessful issue you with a returns note and arrange the return. We are responsible for the return costs for faulty goods and you have the option of a repair, replacement or refund.
If you have had the goods for MORE THAN THIRTY DAYS BUT LESS THAN 12 MONTHS, then please contact us so that we can attempt to fix the problem and if unsuccessful issue you with a returns note. You are responsible for the return costs and we will either repair or replace at our discretion.
Some products may have different warranty periods. The product page will provide specific details.

Please note that physical damage to the equipment will invalidate the warranty.

UK mainland delivery charges

The delivery charges for orders despatched to UK mainland addresses are as follows:-

If you order a SmaQ system then express delivery is free for all items on the same order.
Delivery charges for all other items are calculated when you place your order and are based on the total weight of the consignment. You will be offered the choice of 2nd class, 1st class and next day carrier.

Where a delivery charge is made, the cost varies between approximately £2.00 for smaller items up to a maximum of £9.60 for next day delivery.

Warranty Period

SmaQ systems units are offered with a one year return to base warranty on the system unit. Some components used in the system have longer manufacturers warranty periods so please contact us for low cost repairs outside of this warranty period.

Monitors, sound systems and other peripherals are covered by the manufacturers warranty. You may either return them to us using our returns procedure or contact the manufacturer direct. Details will be provided with your purchase.
